Recent graduates

I had been reading about the job prospects and unemployment rate of recent graduates in the UK and it took me back to the feeling you get on graduation. The optimism and hopefulness, almost a sense that you finally arrived to the starting line. Of course all of that tends to dissipate with time and as you become aware of your inexperience in a competitive job market but it felt a bit cruel to see how quickly the younger generations have to face that reality.
